Collaborate: Leading Regional Innovation Clusters

Posted by Margaret Lamb - On September 19, 2013 (EST)

The Council on Competitiveness developed this guide to building the capacity of leaders in regions to accelerate economic recovery or reinvention and increase community well-being. It looks specifically at the habits and structures required for successful regional leadership -- from the role of intermediaries and why they matter to the importance of storytelling and the value of experimenting. Because regional leadership is by definition collaborative and consensus driven, the content and findings (case study-driven) may have particular relevance for Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs) working on these same or parallel issues in similar ways.
